A digital design director with dev chops — and yes, AI too.

I've been a digital designer since day one ... but I didn't come up through some fine arts curriculum. I have a degree in computer science. And long before that, I was bootlegging a copy of every piece of design software I could get my hands on as a kid. Photoshop, Microsoft FrontPage, whatever. I've been designing websites and apps since "websites" and "apps" became a thing, not to mention motion graphics. Naturally, I made a career of it.

By the way, that computer science degree? It means I don't just design the thing — I can build it. I speak engineer fluently, I prototype in code — Claude, Cursor, VSC, all that good stuff — and when the work calls for it, I get my hands dirty all the way to shipped.

It also makes adapting to the age of AI a helluva lot easier. Which is nice. While the industry figures out what product design looks like now, or five minutes from now, I'm already working that way — using these tools to move faster and build better.

Oh, and I fell in love with the em dash long before generative AI, so I can't let it go — even if it's basically AI's calling card these days. These words are mine.
